The Lyon Family
We're a family-run restaurant and free-house serving up high quality drinks, innovative food & excellent service in the Forest of Dean. Owners, Andi & Craig are a husband and wife team that run our kitchen and their daughter Bryannah and partner Tom take care of you in the Front of House, alongside an excellent team of staff. The Lyon Inn is one big family - and you're welcomed into it from the second you step through the front door!
The Lyon Food
Our food offering at The Lyon Inn is an experience we pride ourselves on, with expert chefs designing and cooking their menu for you. Our menu is seasonal - in order to keep our suppliers as local as possible, which means there's usually something new and interesting on offer. Or, if you fancy something extra special, why not ask about The Blue Room, our exclusive tasting menu that's private dining only - a true delight for all!
The Lyon Spaces
The Lyon has many different spaces available to ensure that everyone is as comfortable with us as you are in your own front room. Our restaurant is our more formal space, where diners enjoy evening meals - but it's open for lunch too if you prefer. We then have our bar and fire rooms, which are more laid-back for casual dining. Our beer garden offers a chilled space - with blankets and hot water bottles for the colder months.
The Lyon Puppies!
We are a dog (& owner) friendly pub, with dogs able to accompany you in the bar, fire room & beer garden. We do have treats and water available for dogs and if you can't see any out, just ask a member of the team. Please note that dogs aren't able to go into the restaurant, as we do like to keep our more formal area dog-free for guests that prefer this sort of environment. All dogs must be kept on leads both inside and outside!
